Tuesday

On the Farm

Do you want the feel of being on the farm? That down home cozy feeling without having to get up at the crack of dawn, feed the pigs, plow the fields or milk the cows?
I have just the table for you! A whopping 114" long. For the math impaired that is 9 1/2 feet long.
A perfect 23" width and 27" high. (now SOLD!)
The table actually came out of an old elementary library.
I am sure you are wondering about the short little shovel on the
floor... I was told it was used to dig telephone
pole holes. I have three and think they would make fabulous curtain rods.

The table has a soft robin egg blue patina. Gorgeous.
Oh, and by the way, it will  fit in a Tahoe. Just make sure
you have a cute little red cloth to tie on one of the legs!
Now go get the tape measure and start looking for the perfect spot in your nest!

Thursday

Just Dandie

Hello everyone. I know I have been away from blogging for awhile as you all have frequently reminded me...
To say life has been busy would be the understatement of the year.
So much has been going on which somehow puts me at a loss of what to blog about.
So, I turned to comfort food. My grandmother's Dandie recipe caught my attention as I was flipping through hundreds of zillions of photos hoping I would get a spark of an idea what to post.
Written in my fourth or fifth grade hand writing it is almost impossible to see.
My grandmother would keep these tasty wheat germ balls in the
refrigerator in a jar. Her concoction was a forerunner for the popular protein bars we have in the stores now.
I guess you can tell I must be a messy cook!
I am headed to make me up a batch...
